The Perfect Start for a Healthier Lawn

Our spring treatment visit gets your lawn off to a fabulous start at the begging off the new year.

As the daylight hours start to increase and the ground warms up again, grass can begin to grow. The first application of nutrients is really important, and GreenHeart feed treatment releases exactly the right balance of macro nutrients to get your lawn growing at just the right amount. This treatment ensures that over the next 10-12 weeks your lawn will quickly rediscover a perfect colour, thickness and appearance. By using a specialist product that releases its nutrients gradually, we ensure an even growth that stops a massive surge of growth too early in the year, which is difficult to keep up with when you are mowing weekly.

We generally consider aeration at this stage in the year to be a good idea and will advise many of our customers on our Essential Annual lawn Treatment Plan to include aeration as part of the package if you want one of the best-looking lawns in your road!

Late Spring/Early Summer

Our late spring early summer feed contains organic bio-stimulants and soil conditioning properties to encourage increased healthy microbial activity in the rootzone. This improves the lawns access and uptake of the nutrients it needs during a period of active growth. Weeds have started growing actively now, so we conduct our first weed control of the season.

Mid-late Summer

An important treatment period is often neglected in UK lawns. The growth rate in lawns slows down a bit, but summer months are stressful for lawns with high temperatures and lower rainfall. Our Summer fertiliser provides exactly the right nutrients to help your lawn withstand typical British summers. Essential resilience when the lawn is often expected to look its best and is getting the most use.

Autumn

As temperatures begin to cool down in the autumn, our feed treatment applies just the right nutrients to strengthen the lawn’s root system in preparation for the colder months. The treatment continues to provide the deep colour and strength of the grass, which extends your season on the lawn as long as possible. In the autumn, we also start to treat moss again before it starts to really take over again.

Winter

A hugely important treatment period in our calendar. Unfortunately, the climate in the Westcountry is ideally suited to moss growth in lawns, and it can easily take over in a few short winter months. Our annual winter treatment hardens up the grass, increases resistance to disease and stops moss from thriving. This gives the grass more of the available space, oxygen and nutrients to come through the winter in good health.
